Kubusnet® is hence a tool that facilitates the work of Kubus teams while structuring a specific work process compatible with the Kubus concept and the development of leadership skills in practice.

Members of Kubus teams plays the part of knowledge agents that use their personality, skills, education, motivation and network to formulate individual investigatory tasks based on the preject information of the company, feedback and results from investigations. The investigation results are called notepads which contains information relevant to the company in areas they lack potentially relevant knowledge. Tasks are investigations that therefore primarily investigates relevant knowledge outside the company whose result the Kubus team evaluates as being of value to the company; e.g. knowledge gathered by not addressing the company contacts but instead external relevant experts, communities, research, etc.

The only moment of creativity a Kubus team is given is in the formulation of task; e.g. areas and ways to find relevant information and knowledge. In addition, Kubus team members do not communicate ideas or suggestions in notepads that are not investigated; they only formulate areas and ways for investigation (tasks) and communicate their results. The company on the other hand comments on the notepads and evaluates interest and relevance, which the team incorporates in their following investigations. In short, Kubus teams build innovation potentials that motivates the company to innovate based on the in-depth investigations of the Kubus team.
